A hand woven wicker creel with leather hinged cover. The lid has a square opening on one side to accommodate inserting the fish. The basket is a trapezoid shape with rounded front corners which continue to a flat back, centering on an attached bail handle below two hinge pockets with original leather lid hinges. The canted lid has a leather and metal closure in the form of a fish.
