Woven split bamboo open top footed basket. The exterior of the basket is painted in oxide red with a green leafy border framing a painted pineapple on both long sides. The basket has a willow wood rim and rests on carved & joined wood base frame. 

Indonesia, 1900-50.

Condition: Some losses to exterior paint and a a mark in the bottom of the basket. Wear commensurate with age and use.
