English cast brass lion & snake door stop (c. 1820)
Cast brass and lead weighted door stop of a lion confronting a snake, centered on a caduceus with the two snake heads forming a loop handle. The casting is in fine original condition with excellent detail.
English, Regency period, circa 1820.
Condition: Brass surfaces have been cleaned and hand polished. Wear commensurate with age and use.
Materials: Cast Brass, Lead
Dimensions: 7-3/4" W x 3" D x 17-1/4" H
