Barrel form ceramic vase on recessed feet by Rookwood (1900's)
Barrel form ceramic vase with four recessed feet and an impressed geometric design encircling the lower third of the piece. Finished in a slate blue matte glaze. The underside is stamped with the Rookwood maker's mark, style number 1864, and an X in the glaze which signifies a second. The bottom third of the vessel has some inconsistencies in the glaze which likely earned this designation. Additionally, the piece is missing the customary roman numerals which mark the year of production.
