Austrian Biedermeier mahogany pier mirror (c. 1815-20)
Mahogany pier mirror with an ebonized and denticulated cornice over an arched paneled entablature, mounted with an impressed brass cupid on an ebonized ground. The entablature is supported by a flat mahogany framed looking glass above an architecturally conceived plinth. The frame is characteristic of the simplified architectural designs of the Biedermeier School of the first quarter of the 19th century.
Austrian, circa 1815-20.
Condition: Very good overall condition. Wear commensurate with age and use.
