American Queen Anne style slip seat mahogany stool (1900-50)
Academic Revival Queen Anne style mahogany bench/stool with upholstered slip seat seat. The cabriole legs flow in a sinuous line from the bowed knee through the rounded and tapered legs which terminate in a flaring pad foot. The legs are morticed into the frame with scallop cut apron. The stool is upholstered in needlepoint with a centered circular scrollwork pattern surrounding a small bouquet of roses.
American, first half 20th century.
Condition: Wear commensurate with age and use.
