Pair of English Edwardian marquetry flip top demilune tables, c. 1890-1915
Pair of English Edwardian flip top demi-lune tables with marquetry inlay in the Sheraton taste on the top leaf, apron, dies and legs. The top is veneered with five radiating book matched satin wood panels from a floral inlaid demilune. The cross banded edge is inlaid with a trailing vine. The tabletop is supported by a conforming demi-lune apron divided into thirds by inlaid leg dies over tapered legs inlaid with a descending sting of graduated bell flower. The legs terminate in spade feet. The interior surface is covered in wool baize framed by a continuous satinwood crossbanding. The hinged demi-lune table leaf is supported open, by a swing leg hinged into the medial frame.

Condition: Wood surfaces have been cleaned, repaired, and stabilized. Baize surfaces are stained and worn. Overall wear commensurate with age and use.
