English brass Queen Anne candlestick, 1725
Queen Anne candlestick with shaft cast in two parts cast with the bobeshe and knob below the candle cup and a secondary knob above the base. The base was cast separately and peened to the assembled shaft. The raised lobed base is defined by a Cupid's bow molding joined at the corners with a lobe.
Birmingham, England, circa 1725.
Condition: Surfaces have been cleaned and hand polished. Condition commensurate with age and use.
