Indonesian painted palmwood bowl (1950-2000)
Racetrack oval shaped shallow carved palm wood bowl with pen & colored ink surfaces decoration. A beaded edge is faux painted to resemble knotted cordage. The interior centers on a diapered square design which is anchored at the corners with green leaves and a pink bloom on a ground of brown dots and swirls. The motif is continued on the exterior and bottom of the bowl.
Indonesia, 2nd half 20th century.
Condition: Very good original condition. Wear commensurate with age and use.
