English Sheffield entree dish on stand with four lion’s paw feet by Smith, Sissons & Co. (1840-50)
Old Sheffield flat bottomed cylindrical soufflé dish on four foliate, cast scroll feet, and applied cast foliate scroll handles. The bowl is fitted with a removable and flared rim liner.
Impressed on the underside with the "bell" makers mark of Smith, Sissons & Co.
Sheffield, England, 1840.
Condition: This piece is in fine original condition. Exterior surfaces have been hand polished. Wear commensurate with age and use.
