Chinese celadon jade carved and pierced circular pendant necklace (1912-1949)
Celadon jade circular carved and pierced pendant of two circling panthers, mounted on a moss green silk cord with a white jade bead, and flanked by a pair of celadon jade discs and sterling lobster clasp. In Chinese iconography, the panther was the herald of fortune and taming of cruelty and thus an auspicious symbol.
