Carved nephrite jade jue with white alterations. The jue is pierced with fine borings on either side of the slot that interrupts the ring, and the interior of the borings show marks of hand drilling with traces of red cinnabar in the matrix. The surfaces along the rim have been etched with a fine running pattern. Suspended from a black silk cord gathered with a coral barrel bead and a sterling silver lobster clasp.
