Austrian Biedermeier four drawer chest (c. 1820-30)
Biedermeier chest of four blind graduated drawers of book matched figured Baltic Birch veneers and solids. The top edge is cove cut with a projecting molding on the lower edge at the connection with the case. The case rests on shallow bracket feet and scolloped apron which conform to the rounded front corners of the case. The drawers center on a rim key escutcheon with original full morticed locks.
