English Queen Anne cast brass candlestick (1760)
Seam cast brass Queen Anne candlestick with urn form candle cup supported by a trumpet form shaft over a suppressed knob peened to a conical to domed base with scolloped edge. The candle shaft retains its original push up candle ejector.
Birmingham, England, circa 1760.
Condition: The candlestick has separation of the seam on the lower suppressed knob, a flaw likely the result of an imperfection in the manufacturing process. Surfaces have been hand polished. Wear commensurate with age and use.
Dimensions: 3-5/8” D x 7-1/2" H
