English shell base Queen Anne candlestick (1760)
Queen Anne seam cast brass candlestick. The shaft is peened to a conical centered, hexagonal shell lobed base.
Birmingham, England, circa 1760.
Condition: Later solder has been added to the peened base but the candlestick is in otherwise excellent original condition. Surfaces have been cleaned and hand polished. Wear commensurate with age and use.
