English Queen Anne Concertina Action Flip Top Game Table (c. 1725)
Queen Anne concertina action flip top game table. The table is designed with lieu pockets and turreted porringer corners constructed of mahogany and matched mahogany veneers on English oak. The gaming surface is covered with a replaced indigo blue baize. The flip top is mounted on a conforming apron and cabriole legs with lamb’s tongue cap. The legs terminate in pad feet.
England, circa 1725.
Condition: Baize playing surface has been replaced. Wood surfaces have been cleaned and loose veneers have been stabilized and secured. Wear commensurate with age and use.
