English cast brass Queen Anne candlestick (c. 1740-50)
Cast brass Queen Anne candlestick with urn form candle cup with circular bobeshe, supported by a baluster with a four sided knob above ring and knob turnings peened to a raised square base with cove cut corners. The shaft has been cast in two parts and silver soldered together before being peened to the base.
Birmingham, England, circa 1740-50.
Condition: The candlestick is in fine condition. There are some shallow dents/scratches to one face of the base and a short crack at the rim. Wear commensurate with age and use.
