French or English cast bell metal candlestick (1680-1720)
Solid cast bell metal brass candlestick with candle cup and beaded rim on a classic baluster, threaded to a circular rimmed drip pan on a raised octagonal base. The candle cup is drilled with an 'economy' boring for the removal of the candle stub. Probably Huguenot.
France or England, circa 1680-1720.
Condition: The candle shaft has a slight list. Surfaces have been hand polished. Wear commensurate with age and use.
