English stoneware hunt jug by Chetham & Woolley (c. 1793-1821)
Feldspathic stoneware hunt jug with applied handle. The hunt scene relief rests on a ground of blue enamel. The neck of the pitcher has a gilt trailing decoration in the Classical taste, also on a blue enamel ground. Attributed to Chetham & Woolley.
Staffordshire, England, 1793-1821.
Condition: There is a small chip or firing imperfection in on the right side of the rim but the piece is in otherwise excellent original condition. Wear commensurate with age and use.
