Pair of New England painted Windsor side chairs (1830-40)
Pair of plank seat Windsor side chairs with thumb backs in their original paint decoration. The chairs are supported on four bamboo turned splayed legs joined by turned boxed stretchers. The spindle back supports a deep crest rail mortice between the upper leg post.
American, New England, circa 1830-40.
Condition: Wear commensurate with age and use.
