French cherry wood arm chair with rush seat and upholstered seat cushion (c. 1830)
Cherry wood fauteuil (open armchair) with a finely woven natural rush seat. The ram’s horn arms are supported by a plinth above the seat frame, and the front, pseudo-sabre legs. The legs are joined by a boxed stretcher, and the seat is fitted with a boxed linen cushion with hair on hide top.
