American Sheraton mahogany four drawer chest (1810)
American Sheraton mahogany chest with four cock beaded and graduated drawers, with characteristic Seymour School lunette inlay on the edge of the single board mahogany top. The corners of the case are turreted with ring-turned dies over reeded posts which terminate in a ring and spike turned foot. The feet are joined by a scalloped apron across the front and the sides of the case, and the drawers are fitted with oval brasses and bail handles in the original borings which center on cast brass rim key escutcheons.
