Pair of Jacobean style hair on hide oak side chairs (c. 1920-35)
Pair of Academic Revival, Jacobean style, oak framed side chairs upholstered in calf hide with brass nail head trim. The upholstered square chair back continues into square back legs opposite columnar turned front legs attached to the corners of the oak seat frame continuing into a block plinth foot. The legs are joined by a low boxed stretcher.
American, circa 1920-35.
Condition: Both chairs have been reupholstered in hair-on-hide calfskin and trimmed with brass tacks. Frames are in excellent original condition. Wear commensurate with age and use.
