Baltimore Louis XVI Revival upholstered slipper chair (c. 1850-75)
Baltimore Louis XVI Revival upholstered mahogany slipper chair. The chair features turned and carved front legs and raked rear legs. All legs rest in cast brass cup castors. The upholstered boxed seat is mounted to a conforming mahogany seat frame, and the shield shaped back is slightly concave and upholstered within a mahogany frame.
America, Baltimore, circa 1850-1875.
Condition: The chair is in overall excellent condition. The left side of the upholstered seat has a slight water mark (see photos for detail). Wear commensurate with age and use.
