Charles X silvered brass baluster form candlestick by Christofle (c. 1830)
Charles X period silvered brass candlestick. The candlestick rests on a raised circular footed base, centering on a dome which features a waisted transition to the baluster form shaft. The shaft is topped by an urn form candle cup with bobeshe. The maker's mark is stamped on the side of the base, flanked by too hallmarks.
France, circa 1830.
Condition: There is some loss of silvering on the bobeshe, edges of the rims, and on the circular base. Some minor scratches throughout. Wear consistent with age and use.
