American Sheraton dimpled corner flip top game table with gated swing leg. The edges of the top are finely reeded and mounted to a conforming figured cherry veneered apron. The apron is punctuated by carved leg dies continuing into tapered, turned, and reeded legs with ring & tulip bulb feet.

A provenance note is affixed to the underside of the table, behind the gated swing leg. It reads: "Jan. 1921. This table was made from a cherry tree at Gulf Mills about 1795, and given to Rebecca Brooke when she married Reese Thomas in 1810. Anna Barber Chambers. Audobon, New Jersey."

American, New Jersey, circa 1795.

Condition: The table has some light surface scuffs throughout, as well as cracks in the veneers on the curved sides of the table and a stabilized back corner crack in the top board which is only visible when the flip top is closed. Wear commensurate with age and use.
