Large black flat rim paper mache tea tray. The rim of the tray is decorated with leafy gilt tracery and inlaid with abalone in the form of blooming periwinkles. 

England, circa 1830.

Condition: There are two areas of damage on the underside of the tray - see photos for details - but in overall good condition. Wear commensurate with age and use.
