Pair of American mahogany and figured mahogany veneered late Classical upholstered slip seat side chairs. The chairs feature a shaped & pierced crest rail and back rail. Chestnut secondary wood.  

American, Boston, circa 1830-45. 

Condition: Both chairs have been refinished and reupholstered. Both lips on the front rail show signs of damage and loss, but have been stabilized. Wear commensurate with age and use.
