English Georgian mahogany armchair with upholstered slip seat (1720)
Queen Anne / George I chair with shepherd crook arms and vasiform splat beneath a yoke crest rail. The upholstered slip set is supported by cabriole front legs which terminate in a pad foot.
England, circa 1720.
Condition: The chair has been refinished and stabilized and all wood surfaces have been cleaned and polished. The right back corner of the upholstered seat has a water mark on the fabric (see photos for detail). Wear commensurate with age and use.
