French Academic Revival Louis XVI style painted & upholstered armchair (1910-30)
Oyster gray painted beechwood Academic Revival fauteuil in the Louis XVI taste. The chair has a boxed upholstered seat on a painted beechwood seat frame. The front legs are turned and joined at the seat rail to a baluster turned arm post. The arm post supports an arm with upholstered elbow rests joined to the upper leg posts, forming a curved and scrolled upholstered floating back panel.
France, circa 1910-30.
Condition: The chair has been refinished and newly reupholstered with gimp trim. Wear commensurate with age and use.
