Vintage Japanese bamboo picnic basket (1925-50)

Vintage Japanese square bamboo picnic basket with brass hinged lid. The center of the lid is fitted with a pair of bamboo wrapped handles and the front edge is fitted with two bamboo wrapped toggle closures. The basket is woven of dyed bamboo stays and splints. 

Japan, 1925-50.

Condition: Basket is in excellent vintage condition. Wear commensurate with age and use.
