Iridescent gold Favrile glass vase by Louis Comfort Tiffany (c. 1900)
A distinctive elongated barrel form footed iridescent gold Favrile glass vase. The surface of the vase is distinguished with elongated ribs with tight swirls alternating from the shoulder of the barrel form to the the bottom of the barrel which comes to a waisted base on flaring circular foot. The effect is organic and naturalistic in the Arte Nouveau taste.
The underfoot is etched with initials: L.C.T. / L2070
American, circa 1900.
Condition: Vase is in excellent original condition. Wear commensurate with age and use.
