Rectangular mahogany dressing mirror on a bow front stand with drawer (c. 1790)
Rectangular mahogany swinger dressing mirror on a bow front stand fitted with a divided drawer. The mirror and stand are inlaid with holly stringing, and the case rests on ogee bracket feet. The drawers are fitted with a single stamped brass rosette knob, and the turned mirror stanchions have a central shaft block with threaded pivot pin on a stamped brass rosette. The posts terminate with a turned acorn finial. Secondary wood is tulip poplar.
