English square base Queen Anne candlestick (c. 1750-60)
Seam cast brass Queen Anne candlestick with cylindrical, medial beaded candle cup with a circular dished, square bobeshe. The candle cup sits on a short cylindrical post, above a four petal scalloped knob continuing down the shaft to a suppressed knob and tapered terminal, peened to a domed and dished circle within a raised square base. Design is after a silver model.
Birmingham, England, circa 1750-60.
Condition: Wear commensurate with age and use.
