Pair of English silver form cast brass candlesticks (1680-1720)
Pair of silver form core cast brass baluster candlesticks with square bases. The knobbed candle shaft is peened to the center of a suppressed drip pan within the square base. The candle shaft supports a classic urn form candle cup, sans bobeche.
England, circa 1690-1720.
Condition: The candlesticks are in good original condition, but one the of sticks has been reinforced with solder at the joint between the base and the candle shaft. One candlestick has a list. Surfaces have been cleaned and polished. Wear commensurate with age and use.
