An accomplished Impressionist pastel on paper, summer landscape centering on a rutted lane bordering a split rail fence. The work is mounted on a silk mat and framed in a gold leaf molding style of the period. The signed name is unlisted in the standard art references, though by subject, the work is attributed to an American artist.
Signed lower right with a monogramed “H” over the “G” in Grasmere
