Polychrome glazed Wedgwood Argenta pattern majolica plate in the Japanesque taste. The Argenta pattern was the last important type of majolica designed by Wedgwood, and the design is divided into three spaces defined by three pleated fans alternating with wrens perched on a flowering branch. 

Stamped on the underside: Wedgwood, the British arrowhead registration mark, BFH, M (indicating the manufacturing year of 1884)
Written in the glaze: M, 2789

Staffordshire, England, circa 1884.

Condition: Very good original condition. Wear commensurate with age and use.

Materials: Porcelain, Polychrome Enamel
