English Sheffield footed serving bowl (c. 1825)
English Sheffield serving dish with fluted standing rim and drop fitted into a gadroon edge frame on four tapered pilaster legs on lion's paw feet The pilaster form legs are joined at the juncture with the paw feet by four, reeded arc stretchers. The frame is also fitted with a pair of applied reeded and acanthus leaf chased loop handles.
Sheffield, England, circa 1825.
Condition: Very good overall condition. Wear to the bowl and silver plating commensurate with age and use.
