Hand painted transfer pattern dessert plate from Buffalo Pottery’s "Ye Town Crier" Deldare series. The plate features a man with a bell that calls all to attention as he reads breaking news while a gent and lady pay attention. Large stones pave the ground. A cottage in the background and along the rim depict village architecture.

Stamped on the underside: Made at ye Buffalo Pottery, Deldare Ware, Underglaze (some lettering was lost in the transfer)

Buffalo, New York, 1908.

Condition: Very good overall condition. Marks and wear commensurate with age and use.
