Staffordshire pitcher commemorating the coronation of George IV (1821)
Commemorative Staffordshire pitcher celebrating the coronation of the Prince Regent as George IV. The pitcher has a patterned field surface decoration centering on a cobalt blue line circle enclosing design of Prince of Wales feathers, which is just below a cobalt blue rim band on the shoulder below the neck of the pitcher. The neck of the pitcher is impressed with a crown on either side of the spout. The handle, rim, and foot are striped in cobalt blue enamel.

Condition: There is a visible crack on the bottom inside of the vessel, but only a thin hairline is visible on the outside. Wear commensurate with age and use.
