Anglo-Indian teak arm chair with caned seat and cushion (1900-50)
Anglo-Indian Sheraton teak arm chair with caned seat fitted with a boxed seat cushion and upholstered seat platform. This British Raj-era chair is defined by turned and reeded legs, arm posts and front seat rail. The back rail is hand carved and pierced below a simple rectangular crest rail morticed into scrolled upper back posts.
India, first half 20th century.
Condition: The seat cushion and platform have been recently upholstered and custom fit to the chair. Wear commensurate with age and use.
