Pair of mixed media gouache on paper ornithological studies of redhead ducks and Canadian geese in flight. The works have been de-acidified, archivally mounted, and framed under UV filtering glass. Wharton was born in New York City in 1880, though there is no listing of him after the influenza epidemic of 1919. He is recognized for his refined ornithological paintings.
