Set of five engraved illustrations from the American edition of “The whole genuine and complete works of Flavius Josephus”, by Flavius Josephus and translated from the original Greek by George Henry Maynard with annotations and addendum by Maynard & Ed. Kimpton. The drawings for the illustrations were completed in London by Missers, Metz, Stothard, and Corbould, all memebers of the Royal Academy. The works were then engraved by American artists: Tiebout, Doolittle, and Anderson, which were published by: A Woodruff & W. Pechin, Philadelphia, 1795. Each plate is archival mount, matted, and framed in a mahogany cross band veneered molding.
