Pair of Matthew Boulton Sheffield candlesticks (1815)
Pair of Matthew Bolton Sheffield candlesticks with gadrooned bobeshe and base with tapered conical shaft. Both candlesticks feature the makers stamp of two stars on the side of the base.
England, circa 1815.
Condition: There is a slight dent on the inner edge of one of the bobeshes and there is some loss of silver on the edges of the circular base, but are in otherwise good original condition. A felt foot has been added to the base. Surfaces have been cleaned and hand polished. Condition commensurate with age and use.
