Pair of French hand colored theatrical engravings (c. 1800)
Pair of hand colored theatrical engravings from a bound volume containing 45 theatrical prints and nine drawings showing French actors and opera singers in famous roles. A copy of this volume is in the permanent collection of the British Museum, London.
The character descriptions on the engravings reads as follows:

Both works have been framed in mahogany cross banded moldings and are mounted under UV museum glass.
Published by Aaron Martinet, Paris, circa 1800.
Condition: Light toning to the paper but with very good color and clarity. Wear commensurate with age and use.
