Set four American coin silver bird back tea spoons by Anthony Simmons (1795-1808)
Set of four American coin silver bird back tea spoons, engraved in block letters: R, over E*C, and cast with an eagle carrying a laurel branch in its beak. The stamp of A. Simmons is on the underside of the handle.
American, Philadelphia, 1795-1808.
Condition: All spoons are in good original condition. The bowls on all spoons are worn, including loss of definition of the bird impression on the reverse. Wear commensurate with age and use.
